Portrait sittings are fifteen minutes each. If booking siblings, please try to book back to back sittings!
A proof gallery containing a few images will be mailed to you within two weeks. When you receive your proof gallery, you will “heart” the image of your choice for editing and printing. Expect to receive your photo(s) in the mail within four to six weeks of your image selection. A watermarked digital image will be uploaded to each client gallery for sharing on social media. Please note: I do not provide digital files!

I do not offer digital copies of images! Here’s why: the printing process and paper used really matters here. Have you ever noticed how certain images fade with time? I want your great-grandchildren to have these, so I only use the highest quality pigmented inks and acid-free, museum quality paper.

Heirloom vignette portraits are best suited for children between the ages of six months and 10 or 11 years old. But as we all know, rules are made to be broken and mama knows best. If your baby is ready before 6 months, I’m in!

This photograph is a headshot. With that in mind, I suggest that your child wear a mostly white or pastel dress or dress shirt. Peter Pan collars and smocking are particularly adorable!

I currently photograph at my home in Prairie Village, Kansas.
I also love to have pop-ups portrait parties where I bring my studio to you! Parties consist of 8 children plus the children of the hostess. Moms who host parties receive a generous discount for their time and effort. Drop me a line if you are interested!

We understand that the best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry, especially when working with littles. Although our sitting fee is non-refundable, you can use it as a credit for a future sitting.

I am often asked if I use a filter, and the answer is no! My signature look can only be achieved through long-form editing.
I print the portraits myself in my studio. I see printing as an art, and I print my images as I used to print them in a traditional dark room. By this, I mean that I might print multiple takes of your child’s portrait on studio-grade paper until it’s just right, and then print the final image on beautiful archival paper.

After printing my work in all dimensions, these two sizes were by far and away my favorite. I love the way they look framed in a home.
